HIGH MOUNTAIN MEZCAL
From deep in the mountains of the sierra sur, this single origin mezcal is rarely tasted beyond it's homeland.

SIERRA DEL FUEGO
Artesanal - Joven
100% Agave
Espadín - 45% ABV
Matías Cortez, Sierra Sur
Our Espadin is made by hand in small batches high in the mountains of Oaxaca, Mexico. Matías and his family follow an artisanal process of production. Harvested in the valley below, the agave is brought high onto the mountain, cooked in an earthen pit, chopped and crushed, fermented by wild microbes, and double distilled in copper pots over a fire. Their process is 100% natural, without additives of any kind. The result is a mezcal that is pure and subtle, with notes of citrus and spruce and a bright finish.

A land burnished by the sun. Pitted roads snaking through ancient valleys. Fields of agave stretching into the distance, each spiky plant a perfect miniature of the sun's rays. You arrive at the pueblo, welcomed with warmth and laughter. Copas are poured, the smokiness of the mezcal mingling with the scent of chile and tasajo cooked over an open fire. Dogs yelp and wrestle in the streets, the orange glow from palenques illuminating the night sky and sweet smoke rising to the heavens.

Salomon Hernandez Vasquez, Sierra Sur
Our Artisanal Field Blend is crafted in a palenque so deep in the mountains of the Sierra Sur, it can only be reached after a 2 hour hike. There, Salomon tends to the agave as it is cooked in an earthen pit, crushed by a stone wheel, fermented by wild mountain microbes, and double distilled in copper pots over a fire. His process is 100% natural, without additives of any kind, following the traditions of the past. This 50/50 artisanal blend is produced using agave ready to be harvested in the field, making it both sustainable and rich on the palate.

During the harvest, a spectral fox stalks the agave fields at night. An elusive creature, it is known only as La Sombra del Zorro — the Shadow of the Fox. People speak of ancient origins, when the agave first took root in the land. Bright eyes flashing, a twitch of a tail. Not entirely of this world, it can only be seen under the light of the full moon. The guardian of the fields, leaving only a trace of its shadow.
el elixir: a collection of micro-batch mezcals from regions across oaxaca.

Elixir 01

Isidro Damián, Sola De Vega
Isidro’s agave flourishes next to the vibrant cempasuchil blooms of Día de los Muertos. From his hillside vantage, he crafts small-batch mezcals with a sweeping view of the mountains.
Elixir 01 is the inaugural gem in a collection of rare, microbatch mezcals, meticulously distilled in clay pots. The agave is smoked in earthen pits, pounded by hand with a wooden mallet, fermented in wooden barrels by wild microbes, then distilled over an open fire. This heirloom process has been passed down through the generations, resulting in a mezcal that is layered and complex, as unique as the mezcaleros who produce it.

In ancient Oaxaca the people were divided by land and language. Yet, they possessed a drink so powerful it united even the most distant hearts. They called it El Elixir. When disputes arose, and agreement seemed impossible, the elders would gather to share the potent drink. With each sip the barriers of language melted away. Mezcal became a sacred bridge, building understanding and connection to this day.
